Long rant is long ...

MY PUPILS ARE STILL SO FREAKING DILATED THAT IT SCARES ME WHEN I LOOK AT MYSELF IN THE MIRROR!!!
Basically they take up almost the entire normally brown part of my eyes. 6 hours have passed since they applied those drops that caused it into my eyes.
I am not going to talk about what everything they did to my eyes today. You don´t want to know. The check up better was thorough!!! Also it involved hell lot of waiting and I am annoyed. As you can see.
Other thing is that I can´t see properly. It´s more or less normal when I only exist, but I can´t decipher text as small as I would like to. Also when outside, lights (and flashes of colors, also bright stuff in general) keep swimming and they are huge and blurry. I don´t have a proper sense of distance between things. Now all this, you find out only continuously. When I left the doctor´s office, I thought I am pretty fine and that by the time we´d have a cup of coffee I should be able to drive home. Fortunately I tried to write a message to Pix and realized it´s worse that it seems. And fortunately there were weird blue lights in the bathroom I had used before I got into my car. I have decided to hand the keys over to my friend. Only when we were on the road I have realized how wise that decision was. We would have crashed for sure have I driven.
I wonder how irresponsible a doctor can get. I mean they have never mentioned any to those syndromes to me when I was in the office (and I asked about driving after a surgery, they have seen my ID, all in all it was pretty clear I came by car) or before when I was making an appointment. I was only lucky to find a few words about the possibility of them trying to dilate my pupils during the check up when researching the surgery itself. So I took my friend along, just in case. If I had been alone, it might have gotten pretty serious. Also the entire road from there to my house is basically highway, you can´t just easily park to the side and call someone (also who precisely and would they get to me?)
Anyway, they said that I am eligible for getting my sight fixed and so the date was set. January 28th. Until then I will have nerve cramps thinking about it ... This is it for today, I just needed to rant ...

Date: 2010-01-04 08:48 pm (UTC)I think if they did that today, since I have a pretty bad eyesight, I would crash into anything.
One day maybe I'll do the laser eximer in my eyes, but I'm not ready, financially and mentally for that.
I hope you will not have that many cramps.
Please try to refrain from working your eyes too much for now, even if it sounds hard, but you can't squint for that long!
