Fire away!
Sep. 24th, 2009 08:01 pmToday my dad made me breakfast. ♥
We went mushroom picking afterwards (is that how you say it in English?) we drove there and it isn´t close and three adults walked around a forest for an hour and found exactly 1 mushroom. We gave up, obviously the ground is too dry for mushrooms to grow. I was happy we left early actually as the place we went to is kind of a military administered area and they were having some kind of try out, they were shooting blind missiles and stuff. I know they were blind, still they were loud and seriously I do not feel comfortable picking mushrooms under fire. My parents on the other hand just laughed and talked about how they had to lay low in some kind of pit once because they started shooting very close to them. I don´t get them sometimes. I wanted to post a picture of that poor mushroom in one big empty basket but I can´t find it. I took some other pictures instead. But it was a pleasant morning walk (minus the missiles).
As a plan B we went shopping with my mom. I bought shoes I very much needed. Hooray! I also got a very nice coat – a short one I wanted ever since it was everywhere last winter. It still shocks me though that it was the same price as the sports bra I bought. The coat wasn´t cheap, the bra was totally expensive, even though it was on sale! Looking at the prices in general I will either starve (read: eat the cheapest fake instant ramen) or walk around naked next year when I start taking care of myself for good. I will be poor as a church mouse or something. Still I can´t wait!
In other news I have failed to order football/soccer tickets online today. 11 000 of them was gone in 15 seconds, I was without a chance. Well I still maintain that the stadium sucks and it will be better to watch the match on TV.
Tomorrow we have a cleaning day (they appear too often in this household) or a grapes picking/harvest day (we have a tiny, tiny vineyard). Or both. And I have to pay a visit to a social security offices and insurance company to tell and prove that me and my sister still study and therefore this state should continue to pay our insurance and the child support. I am getting nostalgic, past 5 years the office ladies in those institutions never failed to amaze me, always realizing something new and shiny about me (like that I indeed study in Czech Republic – it took them three years to figure that out from the school address - and so on). I only wish I would feel more like an university student for the last year of being one. I do not go to school, am at home all the time and have no dorms.
Those pumpkins. I had to clean them today. After we had some works done on our lawn today my mom concluded they are too dusty and need to be washed. LOL. They are all real deal and are so pretty. You could say other than pears, plums and walnuts, the pumpkins as well had a good year.
Not so NEWS: My mother expects miracles. I don´t do magic. We are bound to clash in the near future again.
All in all I had a great day, feels productive even. What about you?
